The St. Augustine Travelodge is just 1 mile from the historic area and about 10 minutes from Vilano Beach. You can drive across the Bridge of Lions to Anastasia Island and go to my personal favorite beach, Crescent, but it will be a little longer of a drive at about 20-25 minutes.

I think Destin is the best. If you are looking for something new head just east to South Walton. There is a road called 30A that runs through several small beach towns. I would be sure to check out Seaside. It is worth the trip. For things to do in Destin check out http://www.doitindestin.com.

I have driven from mass to florida a few times and I95 is the quickest that I have taken …there is route one for a longer scenic trip…for specific directions try map quest…. coco beach is a nice area lots of nice people there . hope you enjoy your self

95 all the way. Also, if you are a AAA member, or know someone who is, they will give you a custom map of the entire route for free. Its called “TRIP-TIX”. Check it out! They even tell you where to stop and eat, things to see along the way, and how long it will take.
